FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions Why do some add-ons not get updated in WoWus despite them being updated elsewhere? This doesn't happen too often, but it does happen. The reason for this is that a number of the add-ons in the WoWus database require manual intervention when it comes to the update checking process and this process is generally laborious. Because of this, the add-ons that require this extra work are not checked any where near the frequency of the other automated add-ons. Update: Since v0.99, a significant majority of the manual intervention process has been eliminated and now add-ons should be consistently updated. What language is WoWus written in? The software and its associated editors - the latter being unavailable to the public - are all written in VB.NET which targets version 2.0 of the framework. WoWus makes use of the Pique exception library and the BiQubic Column Editor library, both of which are also written by myself, that provides custom exception handling and submission and column editing features. These libraries will be released some time in the future on the www.BootBlock.co.uk website. What systems does WoWus run on? WoWus is primarily a Windows application, but can additionally be run on Linux and MacOS since v1.08. Linux/MacOS users will need to download and install Mono prior to running WoWus. Once in WoWus, go to the Advanced tab within the Settings window and set up the extractors. As I do not personally run Linux/MacOS, I am accepting guides on configuring WoWus for a non-Windows system. Can I link back to your site? Of course! If you use WoWus on a regular basis, please consider placing a link to this site on your website or mention it to a few friends. We do not encourage spamming! The WoWus userbase is currently quite small (1,500+ regular visitors a day along with 1,000+ new visitors daily) and we'd understandably like it to grow. Do you have any more software available?
